Topology optimisation
By using the latest simulation and optimisation methods as well as a profound understanding of processes and materials, LZS is able to develop market-driven lightweight design solutions that are often not achievable in traditional development processes. Depending on the boundary conditions and the optimisation objective, topology optimisation holds great potential for saving material, costs and time while simultaneously increasing quality and performance.
Topology optimised compressed air distributor

With regard to an improved material efficiency and a modified production technology (in this case 3D printing / additive manufacturing), topology optimisation is shown in an example of a compressed air distributor for Deutsche Bahn AG, which the customer held in his hands just one week after receiving the order.
