Determination of the thermal properties

Our Test Centre services

In our Test Laboratory we offer the determination of the following parameters for metals, polymers and fibre composites:

  • Measurement of glass transition temperature (Tg) e.g. by using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) or dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA)
  • Thermal analysis to determine melting temperature and crystallisation temperature by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC)
  • Heat capacity through differential scanning calorimetry (DSC)
  • Reaction temperatures and times using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC)
  • Decomposition temperatures and stages by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA)
  • Thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity by hot-disk method
  • Thermal expansion coefficient by dilatometer measurements
  • Time- and temperature-dependent viscosities using plate-plate rheometer
  • Melt volume flow rate (MVR) by using a melt index tester
