Determination of the thermal properties
Our Test Centre services
In our Test Laboratory we offer the determination of the following parameters for metals, polymers and fibre composites:
- Measurement of glass transition temperature (Tg) e.g. by using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) or dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA)
- Thermal analysis to determine melting temperature and crystallisation temperature by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC)
- Heat capacity through differential scanning calorimetry (DSC)
- Reaction temperatures and times using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC)
- Decomposition temperatures and stages by thermo–gravimetric analysis (TGA)
- Thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity by hot-disk method
- Thermal expansion coefficient by dilatometer measurements
- Time- and temperature-dependent viscosities using plate-plate rheometer
- Melt volume flow rate (MVR) by using a melt index tester
