Promoting young talents for scientific and technical fields is an issue that is very close to our hearts and for many years now we have been involved in juniorIng. Sachsen e.V., a non-profit association that aims to get children and young people interested in STEM subjects.

We have therefore linked this year’s LZS customer survey at the beginning of December to a fundraising campaign – for every completed questionnaire, LZS will donate 10 Euro to the juniorIng. Sachsen e.V. association account.

In this way, an amount of 400 Euro was collected. LZS CEO Dr. Karsten Wippler presented the donation check as an early Christmas present to Prof. Dr.-ing. habil. Maik Gude. He holds the Chair of Lightweight Design and Structural Assessment at the Institute of Lightweight Engineering and Polymer Technology at the TU Dresden and is chairman of the board of juniorIng. Sachsen e.V.

This money will be used for demonstration and experimental materials as well as age-appropriate events and project days in cooperation with day-care centres and schools.

This campaign was a success for us in two ways: We received valuable customer feedback and can thus continue to adapt our service to the requirements, goals and wishes of our customers. In addition, we are naturally delighted if we succeed in getting young people sustainably interested in science and technology.

We would like to thank all customers for their active participation in our survey and look forward to supporting further activities of the juniorIng. e. V.
